Fairy Tale Ending - Part Two

Title: Fairy Tale Endings
Author: black_vinegar
Rating: PG so far
Pairing: Frankie Iero/Matt Lovato
Warnings: None
Note: Long time, no see... I'm alive.
Summary: Frankie was never one to believe in fairy tale endings. He had seen too many things end in disaster to believe in that anymore. But one person has their mind set on proving him wrong, and they know exactly the way to do it.

Prologue Pt. 1//Prologue Pt. 2//Part 1

Frankie got drunk on the first night I met him. I swear, I could have taken advantage of him there and then, but I didn’t. He told me about how many people broke his heart, and then smiled. He always smiled after telling me something sad. It was like he was apologising for something.

Just before he walked away to throw up, he told me that romance was dead and I leaned back against the wall near the stool I was on and thought about how I could prove him wrong.

Flowers. The first sign of romance, except… He was trying to turn vegan, so chocolate was out of the question, really. I had sent them to his room for when he woke up, and they ended up gone. I gave him a fake black rose, and Gerard took the rose to give to a girl.

That was typical.

Lead singers always ruin plans, it’s a law of music.

I couldn’t think of much else. Bassists aren’t meant to be good at much. But Frankie had this aura to him that made me want to make him believe in romance. I’ve never been a hopeless romantic, but for someone like him, I could learn how to be one.

I got one idea. The best idea ever. The most cliché idea ever. Now, I just needed to remember to sing ‘he’ instead of ‘she’ during Drawing Board, and all would be okay. If Frankie was side of stage.

I talked to Billy before the show and got him to bring Frankie to the side of stage. Billy did it, like the champion he is. And because he wanted ideas to get Benji to pay attention to him.

As Drawing Board started, I turned my mic stand to the side a bit so I could see Frankie easily. His eyes were glued to me. Well, I think it was more my ass. But he was there.

Instead of keeping silent and moving around the stage, I stayed at my mic and sang for once. Much to Tony’s surprise.

‘I can recall only this one time
This kind of control the guy had on my mind
I'm falling deep, I can't get out
I've never acted this way before’

As I sang, I looked over at Frankie and a smile had inched it’s way onto his face, along with a blush.

I had written ‘is it alive yet?’ on my arm before the set, and I turned my arm at the end of the song so Frankie could see it. He smirked, shrugged and ran a hand through his hair before rolling a bottle of water to me and walking away.

He would be proven wrong sometime. But what could I do next? A fucking candle light dinner?

He can't win. Where would the story go if he actually proved Frankie wrong? It would become romance! And this story is anti-romance.

Only today I got the idea for the next part of it. So I reckon that'll be up soon!
